Las Vegas, April 24, 2003 - Kyocera Mita, one of the world's leading document imaging companies, today introduced its first company-developed high volume, digital multi-functional product (MFP), the KM-7530 Imaging System. The KM-7530 features a 75 page per minute (first copy out in 3.2 seconds) output speed, 1800 x 600 dpi image quality and a guaranteed drum yield of 4.5 million impressions. The KM-7530 can provide workgroups with an affordable solution that also provides optional connectivity for features such as network scanning and printing from the desktop.

The KM-7530 includes a standard 100-sheet document processor, standard 4-way 4,200-sheet paper supply and duplexing. The device also features a 128 MB RAM and 20GB multi-purpose hard disk drive, which can store up to 70,000 letter-size pages and allows users to retrieve prints at the push of a button. Additional hardware options for the KM-7530 are a multi-functional finisher with a 3,000 sheet stacker, 50 sheet (30 sheets 11x17) three-position edge staple, saddle-stitching, optional 2 and 3 hole punching and booklet-making for a complete document imaging product. Customers can also choose from optional features such as a bar code reader, tandem copy/print and multi-tray mailboxes for finished document delivery.

The KM-7530 can include optional network printing and scanning for advanced functionality. With network printing, the KM-7530 includes 32 MB of RAM, which is upgradeable to 288 MB. The optional network print system supports all popular operating systems and page description languages, including PRESCRIBE, PCL6 (PCL XL, PCL5e) and PS3 (KPDL3). Users can print directly from their desktop with fast 1200 dpi output quality.

Additionally, users can integrate the KM-7530 onto the network with the IB-22 embedded wireless LAN Interface for all their printing needs. This interface allows users to place the system where they need it and enhance their floor space design, all without the cost of running additional network cabling.

The network scanning capability is TWAIN compliant, and provides users the advantage of 75 originals per minute scanning (PDF or TIFF) up to 600 dpi. Kyocera Mita’s functionality includes its document management system, Document Flow, network scan to file and scan to e-mail capabilities.

The scan to email feature is further enhanced with a new scanning feature using Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP). LDAP allows an organization, when scanning to e-mail, to enable the selection of e-mail destinations registered in a company’s server directly from the touch screen interface on the MFP. This new function brings further enhancement to Kyocera Mita’s highly rated scanner system by helping to improve overall office efficiency and provide an essential solution for the enterprise.

The KM-7530 comes with long-life components including a amorphous silicon drum and is backed by the most comprehensive warranty in the industry. This translates into fewer maintenance calls, more up-time and increased productivity.
